The city of Evora, whose historic centre is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an ancient city with a history which stretches back over two millenia. A bustling city with around 42.000 inhabitants, Evora has been home to Celtics, Romans, Moors and Visigoths and consequently, there are a great number of historic sights to visit, such as Giraldo Square, the Cathedral of Evora, the Graca Church, the old roman temple and the 9km long Água de Prata Aqueduct (Aqueduct of Silver Water).
